v1.1.0
English Translation of Kururin Paradise for Nintendo Game Boy Advance by Dimedime
What's New?
This patch contains several optimizations to fit the patched ROM into 8 MB (64 Mbit). This means that the patched ROM should now be more compatible with the existing level editor for Kururin Paradise, wasting less space in the ROM. (But you should still use it at your own risk.)
- Documented some hidden features discovered while digging through the game's code. Check them out!
- Internal fixes:
- ROM is no longer expanded to 16 MB, as it is no longer necessary.
- fixed alignment of menu strings
- (#10) text in cutscenes is now in a global table with IDs being interpreted, for better modularity
- most new data now overwrite Japanese data (strings/cutscenes/graphics) instead of taking up free space, with some coupling fixes
- instruction screens for the same minigame across adventure/challenge/multiplayer mode now share the same tileset.
All the text/graphics are generally unchanged from v1.0.0, just put in different locations in the ROM.

Manual patching instructions are in the source code (Windows only).
OPTIONAL: Migrate save files from the Japanese ROM
If you started a playthrough of Kururin Paradise on the Japanese ROM, then transferred your save file to the English patch, the default Japanese names you see in the "Top 3" times/minigame scores remain in SRAM. If you set some good times/scores and want to transfer them, here's how to fix the Japanese names:
- Download
SaveFix.exefrom below, and follow these instructions.
Or, you could make multiple save files and set high scores to bump the default names off the leaderboards.
