0.9.0 - Release candidate for 1.0
- A short greeting when the overlay starts: a rift opening in a rune circle, under two seconds. It never takes focus and can be switched off in Settings → Overlay.
- A skill tree you open is read at once instead of after a pause, so your own points show sooner.
- The Weaver tree shows your own nodes, not just the guide's: the overlay reads the game's Weaver panel label by label, also the small ones Windows' text reader cannot make out, and its point count comes faster.
- Fixed: on a passive tab the overlay has read, "Next" now goes by your real points there. A node you have not taken yet stays next, instead of the locked node after it (Flame Drinker before Blade Weaver).
- The tree window can be dragged by any empty part of it, not just the tab row, and stays on the screen it is on when it grows.
- Bug reports can be answered: every report gets a random number, and if we answer, a gold line in the overlay shows it. Nobody can tell who an answer is for.
0.7.28 - Your own points, read more reliably
- Fixed: the passive tree only showed your own points once every passive tab had been opened in the game, so it mostly showed the guide's plan. Now each tab you have open shows your points there ("Your character: 10 points in Beastmaster"), with nodes the build does not take ringed red. The next points still follow the guide.
- The build tree's "Look ahead" button is now called "Toggle Slider": it shows or hides the slider for seeing the plan at any number of points.
- Fixed: on smaller game windows the points in an open skill tree were often not read, so the tree kept showing the guide's plan. Fewer readable "2/4" labels are needed now, as the game's heading already says which skill is open, and labels are no longer misplaced when Windows' text reader takes the text for slightly tilted.
- Fixed: the passive point count could creep above the game's. A quest's reward point is often in the game's tree before the overlay counts the quest, and was then counted twice.
- Fixed: data copied with the Maxroll planner's Export button could not be pasted when the build uses Teleport (or another skill Maxroll keeps several versions of).
0.7.27 - A clearer build tree, and WASD movement
- The build tree says at the top what it shows: "Your character" with the points read off the game's panel, or "The guide's plan". If your points on a tree cannot be read, it says so and what to check, instead of quietly showing the plan.
- The next points carry one tag each, such as "1 · +2" (step 1 puts 2 points here), instead of two separate markers.
- The slider is put away until you need it: Look ahead at the bottom takes it out to see the plan at any number of points, and Back to my character ends it. The bottom row is down to the guide's stage, Look ahead and Mini; the step and point markers can still be switched off in the settings.
- Fixed: moving the points slider in the build tree (to see the plan at 14 points, say) jumped straight back to the number read off the game's panel. While the tree is open, the slider now keeps the number you chose. Close the tree and it follows the game again.
- Moving with WASD no longer pops the skill tree up with every step down. If S (or the passives key) does not open its panel in the game three times in a row, the overlay stops reacting to that key and says where to enter the game's own key. It still notices the panel when it opens. In Settings → Following the game, a key can also be left empty to not follow it.
0.7.26 - Ready for the next patch
- When Last Epoch gets a new major version before the overlay has campaign data for it, the overlay says so once: zones, quests and rewards may have changed until it updates itself. Settings → Following the game → Check shows the game's version next to the guide's.
0.7.25 - Blessing advice, speedleveling route and Last Epoch Tools builds
- After a timeline boss, when the game asks you to choose a blessing, a note beside it names the blessing your build takes from that timeline, with its normal and Grand rolls. The game shows the blessings as icons only, so hover them to find it. If the build takes none from that timeline, the note says so and lists Maxroll's general picks for it, marked as not from your build. It needs an imported build that lists blessings.
- keban666's speedleveling guide is now a choice under Route in the settings: "Speedleveling (keban666)".
- Builds from Last Epoch Tools import directly now: paste the planner link into the Build link box and press Import build. Thanks to Dammitt, who runs Last Epoch Tools, for letting the overlay in.
- Fixed: opening the Weaver tree in the game could bring up one of the build's skill trees (Warcry, say) instead of the Weaver tab.
0.7.24 - Points per mastery
- The passive tabs in the build tree say how many points the build has in each of them by now (Primalist 20, Shaman 18, Druid 5, ...), so the class tree and the other masteries can be followed while one of them is showing. Hover a tab to see how many it gets by the end of the stage. Tabs that do not fit wrap onto a second row.
- When Last Epoch Tools' protection turns the overlay away, the message now has a link that opens the build's data in your browser, which gets through. Select all, copy, and paste it into the Build link box to import the build.
0.7.23 - Weaver tree, GeForce NOW, corrected tips and its own icon
- The overlay has its own icon instead of Windows' plain program icon: "LEH" in gold on the overlay's dark plate with its bronze edge. It shows on the program file, beside the clock, in the taskbar and in the title bar of the settings and the other windows.
- Long lines in the settings (such as "Help me understand where Last Epoch Helper is used") now wrap onto a second line instead of being cut off. The import button is now called "Import build".
- Fixed: moving LastEpochHelper.exe out of its folder (to the desktop, say) made it run in Task Manager without ever showing up. Everything it needs is now built into the exe, so it starts wherever it is. If it ever cannot start, it now says why and closes instead of hiding in the background.
- The game's Weaver tree no longer brings up a skill tree: the overlay took it for one, since it has the same Back and Respec buttons. When the build shows a Weaver tab (endgame), opening the Weaver tree in the game opens that tab, and its points are worked out from the panel: the points unlocked ("Completion") less those still unspent.
- GeForce NOW: the overlay now finds the game in the GeForce NOW window, so the build tree and the map counters can follow it. It also says once what cannot work when the game is streamed: the campaign guide cannot follow zones, because the game's log stays on Nvidia's machine.
- Guide tips checked against the game data and the patch notes, and corrected. The Mastery choice is not permanent (Chronomancer Lerinne in The End of Time changes it). Pannion's Study is a dead end. The Forge unlocks in Chapter 1, not at The Outcast Camp. Lagon's phase 2 is won by killing the tentacles. The free dungeon keys in the caches are only there on a season's first character or a solo character. A few boss notes that named attacks the bosses do not have are gone.
0.7.22 - Imports that take Maxroll's data as it comes
- Fixed: for some players every build import (and the Weaver trees) failed with "This planner could not be read: it holds something the importer does not understand". Maxroll's game data had sent a value as a number where the importer only took text. The importer now reads such values either way, and so do the loot filter tools.
- Bug reports now say which copy of Maxroll's game data the overlay has, since Maxroll's servers do not hand out the same copy everywhere.
0.7.21 - Imports that try again
- If a build cannot be read, the import now fetches Maxroll's game data again and tries once more. The overlay keeps a copy of that data for a day, and a guide updated in the meantime can name skills or nodes the old copy does not know.
- When an import still fails, the full reason is written to the overlay's log, so ☰ → Report a bug can tell us what went wrong.
0.7.20 - Can it see your game?
- New: Settings → Following the game → Check. It lists what the overlay needs to read the game and whether it has it: Windows' text recognition in English, the game set to English, the game window, and when it last recognised the passive and skill panels.
- If Windows has no English text recognition, or Last Epoch is set to another language, the overlay now says so once at start, with what to do. Before, the build tree simply never followed the game. The campaign guide works in any language.
- Text is now always read in English when Windows has it, even if Windows itself is in another language.
- Settings, the tour, "Report a bug" and "What's new" now have the overlay's dark look too.
- The item check (Ctrl+Shift+E) is gone. The names a build guide gives affixes differ too much from the game's own wording, so it could say an item has an affix it does not have. The Gear page in the planner still lists what to look for.
