A web-based sample machine for mapping YouTube video clips to keyboard triggers

Transform any YouTube video into a playable instrument! Map video clips to keys, add background music, and create epic meme mashups with real-time visual feedback and audio visualization.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Set Up Your Clips (Edit Mode)

1. Click any key button to assign it
2. Press a letter key (A-Z) to map it
3. Paste a YouTube URL
4. Use the video preview to find your moment
5. Click "Set Current Time" to capture the timestamp
6. Repeat for more clips

2. Add Background Music (Optional)

1. Click "Upload" next to the background track field
2. Select an audio file (MP3, WAV, etc.)
3. Your music will loop in the background during performance

3. Perform (Play Mode)

1. Click "Play" to enter performance mode
2. Press mapped keys to trigger video clips
3. Use SPACEBAR to start/stop background music
4. Watch the real-time audio visualization
5. Hold keys to keep videos playing

Edit Mode

Action	Method
Map key to clip	Click key button → Press letter
Add YouTube URL	Paste URL in text field
Set timestamp	Play preview → Click "Set Current Time"
Remove clip	Click red ✕ button
Toggle preview	Click ▲/▼ button
Upload audio	Click "Upload" button

Play Mode

Control	Action
A-Z Keys	Trigger mapped video clips
SPACEBAR	Start/stop background music
Hold Key	Keep video playing
Release Key	Stop video

Browser Requirements

• Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
• JavaScript enabled
• LocalStorage support
• Audio/video permissions

File Support

• Video: YouTube URLs only
• Audio: MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A (up to 50MB)
• Storage: Automatic browser storage (5MB+ recommended)
