Springcleaning minor update

Mainly for easier navigation of both maintainer and for users.

• Improve code maintainability with better type hints and linting (no runtime impact)
• example file broken path to example image fixed
• Heavy documentation cleanup (with help of OpenCode), better/more concise readability (hopefully)
• repo cleanup (redundant/obsolete files removed)
