Renamed data files, and a Cyprus light theme

Important

Upgrading from 2.9.3 or older starts with an empty library. 2.9.4 renames the files Lyrenne
stores its data in, finishing the rename that started in 2.9.3.

To keep your library: close the app, open its data folder, and rename metrolist.db to
lyrenne.db. Your login and settings carry over on their own.

The in-app updater cannot do this for you, so it is worth doing before you update. If you have
already updated, your old file is still sitting in data and the rename still works.

Why

The old filenames and the old %APPDATA% folder still carried the previous project's name.
Keeping them working meant keeping that name in the code forever, so it was cut in one go rather
than dragged out.

New in this release

  • Light theme built from the flag of Cyprus, using the official colours exactly: copper
    #D57800, olive green #4E5B31 and white. Dark mode is unchanged. Every text pairing in the theme
    was measured against WCAG AA.
  • The tray and taskbar icon lost its gold ring. At 16px the ring was most of the icon, so it
    read as a gold box rather than a lyre. Larger sizes keep the full mark.
  • Opening the mini player no longer puts a Java icon in the taskbar.
  • Listen Together stopped writing its session to %APPDATA%. Everything the app writes now
    really does stay in its own folder.

Install

Download Lyrenne-2.9.4-portable.zip, extract anywhere except a cloud-synced folder, run
Lyrenne.exe. VLC, ffmpeg and the Java runtime are bundled.
