Docyrus Open IDE v0.1.5 turns the File Explorer into a working file manager, adds search in files, and lets a file be dragged straight into any workspace pane.

Highlights:

  • File Explorer actions. New File and New Folder buttons, plus a context menu on every row: Rename, Create file, Create subfolder, Duplicate, Copy, Paste, Copy Path, Copy Relative Path, and Delete, with Edit on files.
  • Copy and Paste. A per-project clipboard that survives an explorer reload. Paste stays visible but disabled until something is copied, and is dropped when the copied path is deleted, renamed, or moved.
  • Drag to move. Files and folders move between directories by dragging. A rename or move follows every open tab beneath the path and keeps unsaved edits; a delete closes the tabs it held.
  • Search in files. A Search tab with match case, whole word, and include/exclude globs, grouped results, and paging. Picking a hit opens the file on that line. (Replace is not implemented yet.)
  • Markdown opens as a reader. Markdown files open in preview only. The editor joins when the Editor toggle, the explorer's Edit action, or a save prompt asks for it.
  • Drop files into panes. Drop a file on a pane's tab strip to open it there; an empty pane accepts a drop anywhere in it. A file already open elsewhere moves rather than opening twice. Dropped into a terminal, the file's shell-quoted absolute path is typed at the prompt.
  • Dragging a file no longer opens it. A file opens on a click, or from the explorer's Edit action.

Fixes:

  • Terminal panes now fill their height. A terminal's grid was clamped to a per-view glyph budget that gave up rows to keep columns, so a full-width pane on a 1920-wide display painted 612pt of the 947pt it had. Wide-and-tall panes now use their full height.

Apple Silicon macOS install:

The installer verifies the archive's SHA-256 against the digest pinned in install-mac.sh before replacing the app. SHA256SUMS.txt lists the digest of every asset.
