twiNX 0.8.1

This is the first public GitHub-ready twiNX release package.

Highlights

  • Corrected the visible application branding to twiNX
  • Added the in-app About page with feature overview, credits and full release history
  • Added right-stick scrolling to the About page
  • Added separate live and offline followed-channel rows
  • Added Twitch channel pages with recent broadcasts and clips
  • Added native live, VOD and clip playback
  • Added read/write Twitch chat, badges, emotes and message composer
  • Added docked, full-height overlay and compact four-corner chat layouts
  • Added Software, Hardware and experimental Hybrid decoder modes
  • Included the accumulated playback, navigation and stability fixes through 0.8.1

Install

Extract the Switch package to the SD card so it contains:

/switch/twiNX/twiNX.nro

Launch twiNX from the Homebrew Menu and complete the built-in Twitch sign-in.

Notes

  • Animated emotes remain experimental.
  • Some Unicode emojis may display as missing glyphs.
  • Hardware and Hybrid decoding remain experimental.
