Risk Assessment

1. Project Deadline

Probability: Medium Impact: High

The project may take longer than expected because of unexpected technical problems or additional features.

Mitigation: Divide the project into smaller tasks and track their progress using GitHub Projects.

2. Responsive Design Problems

Probability: Medium Impact: Medium

The application may not display correctly on smaller screens or different devices.

Mitigation: Test the application on different screen sizes and fix layout problems during development.

3. Form Validation Errors

Probability: Medium Impact: Medium

Users may enter incomplete or invalid information when making an appointment.

Mitigation: Implement form validation and test different input scenarios.

4. Booking System Bugs

Probability: Medium Impact: High

Errors in the booking flow could prevent users from successfully scheduling an appointment.

Mitigation: Test the complete booking process and create GitHub Issues for any discovered bugs.

5. Data Inconsistency

Probability: Medium Impact: High

Incorrect or inconsistent doctor, appointment, or availability data could cause problems in the booking process.

Mitigation: Use a consistent data structure and validate appointment-related information before submission.

6. Code Loss or Accidental Changes

Probability: Low Impact: High

Important code could be accidentally deleted or changed during development.

Mitigation: Use Git for version control and regularly push changes to GitHub.

7. Performance Problems

Probability: Low Impact: Medium

Large images, unnecessary rendering, or inefficient code could negatively affect application performance.

Mitigation: Optimize images, organize React components efficiently, and avoid unnecessary rendering.

8. Scope Changes

Probability: Medium Impact: Medium

Adding new features during development may increase the project's workload and affect the deadline.

Mitigation: Define the main project requirements before development and track additional features as separate tasks.

Risk Management Strategy

Risks will be monitored throughout the development process.

When a problem is identified, it can be documented as a GitHub Issue and added to the GitHub Project for tracking.

Regular testing, version control and incremental development will be used to reduce the potential impact of identified risks.

Risk Levels

Low: The risk is unlikely to significantly affect the project.

Medium: The risk may require additional development or testing time.

High: The risk may significantly affect the project's functionality or deadline.
