ℹ️ This v2.6.14 ALPHA "Daily" build have implemented modulation matrix controls - via touchscreen. Modulation matrix parameters are saved and recalled along autosave, patch files (.vcv), also proprietary binary synth files (.6opsynth), either by 6OP-DX and 6OP-DX Kompakt modules. New 6OP-DX Kompakt is capable to import DX 7SysEx files (but it doesn't export to SysEx).
OhmerPrems plugin Pre-release version 2.6.14 ALPHA ("Daily" builds) (based on Rack 2 SDK v2.6.6), for Linux, MacOS X (ARM/Apple Silicon CPU), MacOS X (Intel CPU), and Windows platforms.
Package files provided below (from Assets section, bottom of this page) are designed for manual installation/ update. Please consider this pre-release isn't available from VCV Library.
OhmerPrems Pre-release v2.6.14 ALPHA ("Daily" builds) provides all operational modules from stable v2.6.13 (their codes are untouched), plus the Work In Progress/in development 6OP-DX & 6OP-DX Kompakt synth voice modules. Also in construction, their respective User's Manuals (often updated, many times per day):
For manual installation/update:
1/ Download the relevant .vcvplugin package file, from Assets (bottom of this page), regardling the platform you're using, so please do not confuse! ;)
2/ Run VCV Rack 2 (preferably as standalone version).
3/ From top-bar menu, select Help, then choose Open user folder (this command will open a new Explorer/Finder pointing to your user's Rack2 folder/directory.
4/ Into the fresh opened folder/directory (Finder, Explorer), locate, then browse into plugins-xxx subfolder (would be plugins-lin-x64, plugins-mac-arm64, plugins-mac-x64, or plugins-win-x64, depending the platform you're using).
5/ Copy the .vcvplugin file you've downloaded, into this "plugins-xxx" subfolder.
6/ Close, then restart VCV Rack 2 (this operation will install the .vcvplugin you've copied, OhmerPrems plugin is installed, or updated).
You'll can find two support files (.zip archives, having SF_ filename prefix), these files are optional:
- DX7_Factory_Yamaha_official_SysEx.zip, containing official Yamaha SysEx files (can be imported).
- Full_Synths_6opsynth_files.7z", containing two .6opsynth files (ready-to-use full synth, with extended features), based on official SysEx (4 banks x 32 voices).
You'll can download it/them, then decompress it/them anywhere you'd like, but be sure to a path where you have permissions, like your Documents folder, or similar.
