Hold one Pal back from evolving on its own, and let a path stay open once your Pal has qualified for it. Two new prestige settings. Plus the fix that matters most on a server: settings a host switches off now actually reach the players.
Added
- You can stop one Pal from evolving on its own. Pick Auto-Evo on the wheel, or type
!palvolve lock.!palvolve unlockallows it again. The Pal gets a passive skill that shows this. Asked for by ferkin1, who had built the same thing himself. - A path your Pal once qualified for stays open. Rain, night, low health and the like pass quickly. Now you can still take that evolution later in the same play session.
- New setting
prestigeEnabled. Off means no Pal can prestige. - New setting
prestigeAutoLink. Off means only the prestige connections you drew in the editor count. Asked for by Narayan.
Changed
- Two evolutions ready at the same time? Your Pal waits for you. It used to pick one by itself. Now it takes neither, and both stay open on the wheel. Asked by SephVII.
- The editor's settings panel shows all 44 settings. It showed four. It has a search box now. Reported by TheDungeonToucan.
- You can switch each kind of line in the editor on and off. Show evolutions and prestige, hide adaptations, however you like.
- The wheel tells you what an entry is before you pick it. Point at a target and the middle of the wheel says Prestige or Auto-Evo, then the level and the price. A greyed out entry says why it is greyed out.
- Installing your config is one step. Put
config_user.luain the mod's scripts folder and start the game.
Fixed
- Settings a server switches off now reach the players on it. A server with prestige off still showed everyone a Prestige button, and then refused it. Seven settings were affected.
- Greyed out entries in the wheel are grey again instead of black.
- A prestige on a server no longer announces itself as an evolution.
- A server with prestige off says so, instead of making it look like your Pal's fault.
- The lock is called Auto-Evo now and says whether it is on or off. The passive skill read "Manual only" before. An evolved Pal keeps its rank on the card.
- Deleting a prestige connection in the editor sticks. It used to come straight back. Reported by Narayan.
- The Pal Alchemy Workbench has its colour. It was never tinted, since the day it was added.
Special thanks: SephVII, Narayan, ferkin1, TheDungeonToucan, Layoned and Reign. The automatic evolution rules in this release came out of their threads.
Install
Workshop: subscribe and let the in-game Mod Management install it.
Manual: unpack the zip into your Palworld folder. Mods\Palvolve\scripts\ needs UE4SS, Mods\PalSchema\mods\Palvolve\ needs PalSchema. Your own tree goes into the mod's scripts folder as config_user.lua and Palvolve moves it where a mod update cannot reach it.
Uninstalling: open PalvolveSaveCleaner.zip and follow UNINSTALL.md. It takes the mod's passive skills back out of your save.
