• Add a minimal notch view with the environment icon and the first four repository characters, aligned beside the camera housing. Choose the left or right side in Settings or the menu bar controls.
• Keep pixel animations when showing, hiding, or switching notch modes and sides.
• Show open workspaces as separate cards below the expanded notch, and collapse the overlay when clicking outside it.
• Simplify the notch and quick settings by removing redundant borders, backgrounds, metadata, and preview cards.

Fixes

• Preserve selected JetBrains run configurations when changing editors.
• Keep queued VS Code/Cursor foreground activity when a heartbeat arrives.

Installation

EnvHalo 0.2.1 (build 6) supports macOS 14 Sonoma and later on Apple Silicon and Intel.

Users on 0.2.0 can update through Check for Updates in EnvHalo. The app is signed with Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

The ZIP and its SHA-256 checksum are attached below. Homebrew users can run brew update followed by brew upgrade --cask envhalo.

Automatic updates

• Adds Sparkle 2.9.6 with automatic update checks and a native macOS update flow.
• Adds manual update checks in the menu bar panel and Settings.
• Adds opt-in automatic download and installation controls.
• Verifies update metadata and archives with signed appcasts and Ed25519, in addition to Apple Developer ID and notarization.
• Keeps the Homebrew cask available as the bootstrap and fallback installation path.

This is the one-time bootstrap release for in-app updates. Users on 0.1.x need to upgrade to 0.2.0 through Homebrew once; subsequent versions can be delivered by EnvHalo itself.

• Replaces the full-color application icon in the macOS menu bar with a dedicated monochrome EnvHalo monogram.
• Uses a native template vector so macOS automatically adapts it to light, dark, and selected menu bar states.

The universal app is signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and includes a stapled ticket.
