Fixed

  • Non-English transcription no longer dead-ends when the Whisper engine isn't installed (#36). Choosing a non-English language (e.g. German) and transcribing for the first time showed "needs Whisper, which is not installed" with no way to install it — the on-demand installer was only reachable from the Retranscribe screen, which doesn't appear until after a successful transcription. Now the first-run screen shows an Install non-English support button that fetches the engine (~200 MB, one time) and automatically continues transcribing once it's ready. The same installer is shared with the Retranscribe flow, so there's a single, consistent code path.

Improved

  • The New Project screen now notes that non-English languages download the Whisper engine on first use — so it isn't a surprise mid-transcription.

Install

Download Doza Assist.dmg below, open it, and drag Doza Assist to Applications. The build is signed and notarized — it opens without a Gatekeeper warning on a fresh Mac. On first launch it provisions its dependencies automatically.
