Raft Ward 0.1.4
Raft Ward 0.1.4 release notes
This release corrects the reported runtime version. raftward.__version__ and
the raftward --version command now return 0.1.4, matching package metadata.
The integrity checks and handoff API are unchanged.
Raft Ward 0.1.3
Raft Ward 0.1.3 refreshes the public source package and adds a release gate for both Python distributions.
- Uses neutral wording in packaged documentation and includes the complete Apache-2.0 license in the source archive.
- Scans the wheel and source archive with Push Guard before PyPI upload, then verifies the scanned bytes before attaching downloads to this release.
- Preserves the 0.1.2 local SQLite checker and fail-closed
gateandverifyPython API.
For new installations, use python -m pip install --upgrade raftward==0.1.3.
Raft Ward does not verify closure on another machine or validate live SQLite WAL content. Keep owning applications closed throughout a local check.
Raft Ward 0.1.2
Raft Ward 0.1.2
Raft Ward remains an independent local integrity checker. This release adds the gate and verify Python API used by tools that hand off frozen SQLite copies. API results are explicit pass, fail, or inconclusive; unknown process state and unexpected check errors never count as a pass.
The source distribution includes the beginner transport guide for encrypted rclone, private folders, and planned SSH transport.
The API checks the local machine only. Single-copy verification cannot evaluate the folder-level MASS-CHANGE or previous-file DELETED rules. Raft Mover remains a supervised prototype and is not part of this release.
Raft Ward 0.1.1
Raft Ward 0.1.1
Raft Ward performs offline integrity checks on closed SQLite databases, frozen exports, and backup folders. It reads originals without opening a SQLite connection to them, inspects disposable private copies, and does not repair or quarantine data.
Each watched target has configured owning applications. If an owner or worker is running, Raft Ward skips that target and continues with independent targets. Unknown required process visibility defers the run. It does not provide an atomic interlock with applications, live-WAL validation, or remote-machine closure.
The maintainer cleared this source after a local run that checked a scratch database and skipped a database owned by a running process without touching it. A separate test run passed 138/138 tests; SIGINT during integrity checking exited 130 without a false integrity finding. See REVIEW.md for the safety boundaries and limits.
The release contains a source archive and Python wheel. Install from PyPI with pipx install raftward. No timer or watched target is configured automatically.
