v1.3.0 - Multi-plate support and filament fixes
This update introduces one of the biggest improvements to the converter so far.
New: Automatic Multi-Plate Positioning
MakerWorld projects containing multiple build plates are now automatically repositioned for the Snapmaker U1.
The converter now compensates for differences in build plate size, center position and plate spacing while preserving:
- Object positions on each plate
- Rotation and scale
- Relative spacing between all objects
- Plate layout
Single-plate projects remain completely unchanged.
For additional safety, every plate is fully validated before any object is moved. If a plate cannot be adjusted safely, the entire plate is left untouched.
Improved Filament Preservation
Improved preservation of filament-specific project settings when keeping the original MakerWorld filament profiles.
This fixes issues where settings such as Maximum Volumetric Speed and other filament parameters could be read from incorrect positions in some MakerWorld projects.
Better Converter Diagnostics
The converter report now provides additional information for multi-plate projects, including:
- Detected plate grid
- Center offset
- Grid spacing difference
- Maximum object movement
- Adjusted and skipped plates
- Unresolved instances
As always, thanks to everyone testing the extension and reporting issues. Your feedback continues to improve the converter with every release!
