v1.13.4 · Basket safety
Fix
- Your basket can't be wiped by an out-of-date screen. A phone or browser that hadn't caught up yet could save its old, empty basket and clear the shared one, which also emptied your Steam cart. Now a device can only remove games it actually showed you. Games that arrived from your other devices stay.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.13.4.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.13.3 · Phone layout and startup fixes
Fixes
- Phones: Your taste fits. The panel no longer pushes the page sideways. The title and buttons share a line, and "Add a tag" gets its own full-width line.
- Small phones: the basket's tax region and the Settings menus no longer run off the screen.
- Never a stale basket. The app and website now pick up a basket, alert or taste change that arrives while they're starting.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.13.3.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.13.2 · Accurate device names in messages
Fix
- Basket messages name the right device. When a game is added or removed elsewhere, the notification and the in-app message now say where. That reads "in a browser", "on your phone", "on your PC", or "on another device" when it can't tell. Before, every change was credited to your phone.
- Messages about syncing in general now say "your other devices" instead of "your phone".
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.13.2.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.13.0 · Sync through your Steam account
Your devices sync through your Steam account
- No more codes. Sign in through Steam in the Windows app and on steamdeal.vercel.app (on your phone or any browser), and they share one basket, your price alerts and Your taste automatically.
- When a device first connects, its basket, alerts and taste edits are combined with what your other devices already share. Nothing is thrown away.
- Signing out stops that device syncing, and it keeps its own copy.
- Codes still work for a device you don't want to sign in on, or for API-key sign-ins.
- Privacy: to prove which account it is, the app shows the website its short-lived Steam store token once. The site checks it with Steam and doesn't keep it. The shared data is only game ids, prices and tag ids.
Under the hood
- The sync code on both sides is reorganized into smaller modules, with no change in behavior.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.13.0.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.12.1 · Saving and taste sync
Fixes
- Every change is saved. Changes made in quick succession could cancel each other's save. Now every change is written, including right before the window is hidden or closed.
- Your taste edits sync. With the website paired to the app, tags you add to or remove from "Your taste" on one side show up on the other. The most recent change wins. When you first pair, both sides' edits are combined.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.12.1.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.12.0 · Hints everywhere
Hints everywhere
- Hover anything to learn what it does. Buttons, badges, filters, toggles and tags now explain themselves in the same tidy card. The cards always stay inside the window.
- On a phone or tablet, press and hold a button, badge or tag to see its hint without pressing it. Tap a ? for help.
- New explanations for the deal score, discounts, review ratings, every sidebar filter, scan depth, sorting, search and more.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.12.0.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.11.2 · Basket breakdown card
Change
- A clearer basket breakdown. Hovering the basket button now shows a tidy card with your games, savings, estimated tax for your region and the estimated total. It always stays inside the window.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.11.2.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.11.1 · Basket total with tax
Change
- The basket button shows the estimated total. Its price now includes estimated sales tax for your region, matching "Estimated total" in the basket. Hover it for the breakdown.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.11.1.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.11.0 · Edit your taste
Edit your taste
- Add a tag: drag it from Tags on the left onto "Your taste" in For you, or type it into "Add a tag". Added tags count strongly and show first, marked with a +.
- Remove a tag: drag it from "Your taste" onto Tags, or click its ×. A removed tag stops pushing games up, and stays out after a rebuild.
- Change your mind: click a removed tag to put it back, use Undo on the message that appears, or Reset to go back to what was learned from your library.
- Help is built in: hover the ? next to "Your taste" for how it works. Every tag also says what dragging or clicking it does.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.11.0.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
v1.10.2 · Tag search fix
Fix
- Typing in "Find a tag" works. Text no longer comes out backwards, and the box keeps focus while you type, even when a scan finishes in the middle. A search with no matching tags now says so.
Install: download Steam-Deals-Setup.exe (same file as Steam.Deals.Setup.1.10.2.exe) and run it. Windows SmartScreen may ask once because the installer is not code-signed.
