Epic Quest - Classic Pre Farm List

Unsure if it has been discussed yet (closest was #62), or implemented (couldn't find it), but I like to think ahead! As I am leveling I do come across items that already exist in classic which will eventually be used for future expansion quests like the Epics. Example could be the peggy cloak for the mage epic. The quest tracker is amazing, but I couldn't find a way to get it to show/track pre-farmable items - maybe some way to filter or highlight those could be useful?

Be nice to have something similar to the sky quest tracker for epic pre-farm tracking.

Thinking ahead is exactly the right instinct - and the good news is the machinery for this already exists in EQBuddy, it just needs the epic data.

What's planned, modeled on the Sky tracker you referenced:

• An "Epic pre-farm" view: per-class checklists of the classic-era items that feed each epic (your peggy cloak example for mage), self-ticking when a loot line or inventory dump shows you have the item - the same auto-check the Sky quest tabs use.
• Honest sourcing: the lists need to come from eqlwiki's epic quest pages, curated by hand rather than scraped blind - Legends has renamed and rebalanced enough that a wrong "pre-farmable" flag would send someone camping the wrong basement for a week. That curation is the real work, and it's why this lands in a future update rather than tomorrow.
• Pre-farmable only: since the epics themselves aren't live yet, the view would clearly separate "obtainable now" from "waits for the expansion" as best the wiki documents it.

No promises on a date, but it's on the list and your framing (filter/highlight pre-farmable, Sky-tracker-shaped) is how it'll be built. If you (or anyone reading) want to speed it up: a class you know well plus the list of classic items you're already banking for it makes a great starting checklist - post it here and it becomes test data.

I’ll take a look at this and see what I can come up with I already have a program for epics I use that closely cloned eqprogression might be able todo something simpler for a card like I did with sky quest

Just a update will need some fine tuning for information basically copied what we did for sky quest and used the check list from eqlwiki for the quest I’ll put a pr in for it now and if anyone wants to build on or push a better version feel free

And it's MERGED - @dandrews2930 built the prototype within hours of this thread existing, and it's exactly the right first cut: all 14 classes, 486 wiki-sourced steps with their guide text, manual checkboxes, and a "Classic-doable only" toggle that correctly knows Kaesora from Lake Rathetear. Coming in the next update, credited. Next layers when anyone wants them: auto-checking steps from your own loot lines (the Sky machinery is sitting right there), and data corrections as people walk the lists - if a step is wrong or missing, say it here and it's a one-line fix.

Now live in v1.77.0 - the auto-check layer promised when the checklist merged: epic steps now TICK THEMSELVES from your own loot lines, the same machinery the Sky card uses. 392 of the 486 steps name a lootable item and are hands-free; hail/kill/dialogue steps stay manual. An item that several classes' epics want parks one tick with a * so you decide whose it was. And per the standing offer: walk your class's list and report anything wrong - step corrections are one-line fixes.
