Initial public release.

What it does

Automatically adds Soulseek users as buddies when they send you a private message or when you finish downloading from them. Pair it with Buddies Only file sharing to grant access the moment someone reaches out — no manual approvals needed.

Features

  • Auto-buddy on message — users who message you are instantly added as buddies
  • Auto-buddy on download — users you download from are added as buddies automatically (reciprocity)
  • Welcome message — optional auto-reply sent to message-triggered buddies
  • Blacklist — comma-separated list of users who will never trigger the plugin
  • Activity logging — every buddy add is logged to the Nicotine+ log window and a persistent log file
  • Smart pre-seeding — existing buddies are loaded on startup so they're never re-processed or re-welcomed after a restart
  • One-click install — install.ps1 (Windows) and install.sh (Linux/macOS) included

Installation

Run install.ps1 on Windows or install.sh on Linux/macOS, then enable Auto Buddy in Nicotine+ → Settings → Plugins.
