✅ Confirmed behavior: Google Home/Assistant is the correct player type to use with Home Assistant Voice Preview (HAVP) devices. This is because HAVP uses the same audio stack as Chromecast/Google internally.
🔧 Fix included in v3.1.6: The Generic (media_player) fallback has been updated to use the Google player engine instead of Alexa, so it will now work correctly with HAVP and similar devices.
📌 In the meantime, if you are on an earlier version, simply select Google Home/Assistant as the player type in the integration settings — it works perfectly with all your HAVP devices.
