DrexiusTerminal v0.2.0
What's New in v0.2.0
DrexiusTerminal v0.2.0 introduces an arbitrary binary split tree engine, interactive draggable split dividers, automatic working directory inheritance on splits, keyboard shortcut collision protection, and critical terminal WebAssembly & CSP fixes on Linux.
🪟 Binary Split Tree & Resizable Panes
- Arbitrary Nested Splits: Replaced the rigid 4-pane CSS grid with a binary split tree engine. You can now split terminals horizontally or vertically as many times as you want without arbitrary grid limits.
- Interactive Draggable Dividers: Dividers can now be dragged to resize panes dynamically with smooth pointer capture, minimum boundary clamping, and hover indicators.
- Double-Click Reset: Double-clicking any split divider automatically resets the sibling panes to an even 50/50 balance.
- Directional Keyboard Focus: Jump between adjacent panes using
Ctrl+Shift+Left,Ctrl+Shift+Right,Ctrl+Shift+Up, andCtrl+Shift+Down. - Workspace Persistence: Your custom split tree layout is automatically remembered across app restarts.
📁 Smart Directory Inheritance (CWD)
- Automatic Working Directory Cloning: When opening a new split from an active local terminal session, the new pane automatically inherits the exact working directory (
/proc/<pid>/cwd) of the active shell instead of resetting to$HOME.
🛡️ Terminal WebAssembly & CSP Fixes (Linux WebKitGTK)
- Resolved
fastfetch& Kitty/SIXEL Image Freeze: Fixed a Content Security Policy issue on Linux release builds where WebKitGTK blocked@xterm/addon-imagefrom compiling its WebAssembly decoder. Added'wasm-unsafe-eval'to script sources. - Dynamic Stylesheet Preservation: Disabled Tauri's automatic
style-srchash injection (dangerousDisableAssetCspModification: ["style-src"]), resolving over 1,200 stylesheet refusal errors when xterm injected dynamic cursor and font geometry<style>tags. - Automated CI Regression Guard: Added
test:cspto GitHub Actions to prevent future builds from regressing on terminal CSP rules.
⌨️ Keybinding Conflict Protection
- Conflict Guard: Added built-in shortcut collision detection in Settings that prevents binding keys that shadow terminal control codes or existing shortcuts.
- Searchable Shortcut Directory: Easily browse, filter, and inspect all active keyboard shortcuts in the Settings modal.
- Rebindable Search: Decoupled
Ctrl+Shift+Rfrom hardcoded terminal search so it can be rebound or passed through cleanly.
🧪 Automated Verification & Quality
- 43 automated unit & smoke tests passing (
splitTree, mobileTerminal, shortcuts, and CSP guards). - TypeScript typechecking and Rust
cargo checkverified clean.

Drexius Terminal v0.1.0
Drexius Terminal v0.1.0
Drexius Terminal is a local-first, secure, open-source terminal workspace and Termius alternative.
Built with Tauri 2 (Rust), React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, and xterm.js 6.
🚀 Highlights in v0.1.0:
- Official Multi-Platform Launch:
Native desktop installers are now available across all platforms: Windows (.exe,.msi), macOS (native.dmgfor Apple Silicon M1–M4 & Intel), Linux (.AppImage,.deb,.rpm), and Android (.apk). - SFTP Transfer Management:
Added an interactive cancel(X)button on the transfer progress modal. Cancelling cleanly aborts active streams and automatically removes.parttemporary files on disk. - Security & Vault Hardening:
- Emergency Recovery Kit: Exported recovery files in Downloads atomically enforce restrictive
0600(-rw-------) permissions on Unix/Android, with directory traversal safeguards. - ProxyCommand Protection: Host
%hand user%rtokens are safely shell-quoted to neutralize command injection. Imported team bundles dropproxy_commandandstartup_commandon ingestion. - AI Relay Memory Cap: Enforced a strict 10 MB streaming response ceiling to protect against memory exhaustion from bloated or rogue AI endpoints.
- Emergency Recovery Kit: Exported recovery files in Downloads atomically enforce restrictive
- Cloud & Mesh Fleet Sync:
Discover and import nodes directly into your vault from Tailscale, NetBird, and cloud providers (Hetzner Cloud, DigitalOcean, and Proxmox VE) with real-time power state tracking. - Licensing Clarity:
Explicitly licensed underGPL-3.0-onlywith trademark reservations for the official Drexius name and logos.
🌟 Core Capabilities:
- Multi-Pane Terminal: Vertical, horizontal, and grid splits, tabs, OSC-7 cwd tracking, bracketed paste, session auto-resume, and broadcast input.
- Protocols & Tunnels: High-throughput SSH with TOFU host-key trust, full graphical SFTP browser, local PTYs, hardware serial UART, and local/remote/dynamic SOCKS5 tunnels.
- Zero-Knowledge Vault: SQLCipher AES-256 encrypted store, Argon2id key derivation, pattern-based secret redaction across command history and clipboard.
- AI Copilot Workspace: Multi-provider relay (Ollama, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Anthropic, Gemini) with credential masking, key pools, and failover rotation.
- Mobile Shell: Responsive touch layout with mobile session bar, custom accessory keypad (
CTRL,ALT,ESC,TAB), and swipe drawers. - E2E Sync & LAN Pairing: Zero-knowledge self-hosted relay sync (v2) and direct encrypted LAN pairing via X25519 + 6-digit PIN HKDF salt.
