v2.9.0 (current) — Wishlist deals, worth-waiting verdicts, and a big testing pass

Two tracks shipped together: three small user-facing features built entirely
from data the extension already collects, and a substantial technical-debt
pass on test coverage and type-checking.

New features

  • Wishlist deals in the popup — a "🔥 Wishlist deals" panel shows your
top 3 wishlisted price drops (≥10% off each game's own tracked peak),
each linking straight to the game's page. Computed from wishlistSlugs
(already reported via the wishlist-badge round-trip) and priceHistory
(already recorded on game-page visits) — no new fetches or permissions.
Gated behind the existing "Wishlist sale alerts" toggle rather than a new
    setting.
  • "Worth waiting?" verdict — the game-page price-history panel now adds
a plain-language read on whether the current price is close to the
game's all-time low, below its average, or above it — built from stats
    the panel was already computing.
  • Wishlist value stat + CSV export — a new "Wishlist value" card in the
tag dashboard's stats grid totals the current price of every wishlisted
game with tracked history, and how far that total sits from each game's
own all-time low. A "↓ CSV" button on the card exports the full
    breakdown per game.
  • Ko-fi + Buy Me a Coffee alongside Patreon — the single "Support on
Patreon" link is now three: Ko-fi,
Buy Me a Coffee, and Patreon (moved to
a new handle). Added .github/FUNDING.yml so GitHub's own Sponsor button
    picks up all three.
  • Two more hardcoded "v2.4" version badges fixed (onboarding wizard header,
Advanced Options footer) — same bug class the v2.8.0 hero-version fix
addressed, just two spots it missed.

Under the hood

  • Real test suites for background.js, popup.js, options.js, and
onboarding.js — all four had zero test coverage before this
release despite background.js alone driving every alarm, fetch, and
notification the extension fires. Also brought command-palette.js and
    wishlist.js up from 0%/8% to ~93% each. Extension-wide statement
    coverage: 23% → 55%.
  • Writing those tests surfaced and fixed two real bugs: ensureDefaults()
in background.js was silently a no-op (it checked for missing settings
keys through a wrapper that already back-fills them, so the check never
triggered), and a CSS rule was overriding the Advanced Options search
box's hidden attribute so the "no results" message showed on every
    page load.
  • npm run typecheck now covers all of content/ and tags/, not just
    lib/ — every content-script and tag-dashboard module is type-checked
for the first time, closing a known limitation from earlier releases.
