v3.0.13
What's Fixed — Windows 11 File Processing Failure
🔥 Root Cause Found: File Lock + Silent Error
On Windows 11, the prescan step (openpyxl/xlrd) reads the file to extract dates, but doesn't fully release the file handle. When the COM engine then tries to open the same file via Workbooks.Open(), it fails with a file lock error. This error was completely invisible — the GUI only showed SKIPPED with no reason.
✅ Fixes
| # | Fix | File |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Show actual error text in GUI: SKIPPED: <reason> |
handlers.py |
| 2 | Release file handles: del wb_scan + gc.collect() + sleep(0.3) after openpyxl close |
engine.py |
| 3 | Release file handles: Same cleanup for xlrd prescan | engine.py |
| 4 | Retry Workbooks.Open 3 times with 1s delay for file lock recovery | com_engine.py |
| 5 | Full traceback logging for all SKIPPED files (remote debugging) | engine.py + com_engine.py |
