🔄 Update Restart Flow

After an update is downloaded and installed in the background, the app now shows a proper success banner with two options:

  • Restart Now — Launches the new version automatically and exits the current process. Uses DETACHED_PROCESS on Windows for clean process separation.
  • Restart Later — Dismisses the banner. The update is already installed silently, so it will take effect the next time the app is opened. A status message confirms this.

How it works:

  1. Update downloads and installs silently behind the scenes (via Inno Setup /VERYSILENT)
  2. Green success banner appears: ✅ Update installed successfully!
  3. User picks Restart Now or Restart Later
  4. If restarting now: new exe launches → old process exits cleanly → user sees updated app
  5. If restarting later: banner dismissed → status bar shows confirmation
