You can create a blank PDF or markdown file with this prefix or suffix it with the date and put it in any folder you want.

I use this and my Explorer Enhancer plugin to hide all of my folders and just have base files of my folders and then this allows me to create new files from the base files in the folder that I am looking at and then start working in that file.
