CalibRaw 1.2.0

This is the fourth release of CalibRaw.

This release adds presets, editing of JPG, PNG and more, automatic straightening, depth masks and a lot of polish across the editor and Android.

I'm planning on having a release on f-droid and flathub for the next release :D.

The following video was made with the new depth aware Fog effect:

What's new in 1.2.0

New features

  • Presets: save adjustment groups, masks and profile choices as a named preset, preview it on hover, apply it in Develop or to a whole Library selection, and share it as a .calibraw-preset file
  • You can now edit JPG, PNG, HEIC and TIFF files with the same tools as RAW files
  • Automatic straightening in the Crop tool
  • Depth range masks and depth-aware fog
  • Mask groups can be reordered, and sub-masks can be dragged and dropped on Android
  • Geometry and Vignetting toggles for lens correction
  • New setting to choose what automatic lens correction does when you open an unedited photo
  • Grey theme
  • Double-tapping closes the sidebar in Develop

  • AI Denoise and AI model handling reworked
  • AI Remove is better at filling noisy areas and matching the photo's grain
  • Clone & Heal fixes
  • Light Rays now look more realistic
  • Android: improved file naming on export, and duplicate export names are numbered instead of overwriting
  • Performance and usability improvements for sidebar controls

Fixes

  • Fixed wrong sRGB colours
  • Fixed the tone curve on masks, the Glow effect and the Pixelate effect
  • Fixed Reset All not resetting noise reduction
  • Fixed the Android back gesture
  • Fixed a size limit that blocked some large images
  • Fixed several UI layout bugs, including on mobile
