Voca is now a real macOS app — no terminal, venv, or pip.

Install

  1. Download Voca-1.1.0.dmg below.
  2. Open it and drag Voca into your Applications folder.
  3. First launch: right-click Voca → Open (unsigned app, one-time Gatekeeper step).
  4. Grant Microphone and Accessibility when prompted. The first run downloads ~1.9 GB of models once, then works fully offline.

Requires macOS on Apple Silicon (M1–M4).

What's new

  • 📦 Packaged as a standalone .app in a .dmg — no command line.
  • 🔇 Speech gate (energy + on-device Silero VAD) stops hallucinated text from silence/background noise.
  • ⬇ Automatic first-launch model download with menu-bar progress.
  • 🔐 Auto Accessibility prompt; optional Start at Login.
  • 🐛 Fixed a mic-close deadlock that could freeze the app on key release.
