@DurkaEbanaya DurkaEbanaya released this 23 Jul 19:40

WindowsWindows 1.3

  • Adds square acrylic window previews when hovering over ordinary and per-window Dock icons.
  • Shows every window for the hovered application, including single-window applications.
  • Activates the exact selected window from the preview panel.
  • Adds an independent hover-preview toggle and configurable 0.1–1.5 second appearance delay.
  • Hides the preview immediately when the pointer leaves the panel.
  • Limits application exclusions exclusively to per-window Dock tiles; repeat-click, hover previews, Option+Tab, and other features continue to work for excluded applications.
  • Adds distinct Settings icons, a proper application icon, and major Settings responsiveness fixes.
  • Retains exact-window Dock toggling, FIFO restoration of minimized windows, middle-click Quit/Close, and the acrylic Option+Tab switcher.

Requires macOS 14 or later plus Accessibility permission. Live previews require Screen Recording permission. This release is ad-hoc signed and not notarized.

@DurkaEbanaya DurkaEbanaya released this 23 Jul 17:36

WindowsWindows 1.2

  • Replaces app-wide Dock activation with exact-window toggling for ordinary application icons.
  • Tracks each application’s most recently used exact window without raising every sibling window.
  • Preserves the selected window when an application automatically transfers focus after minimization.
  • Restores multiple minimized windows in the same FIFO order in which they were minimized.
  • Falls back to normal macOS Dock behavior when no live exact window is known.
  • Adds middle-click actions: quit an ordinary Dock application or close the exact window represented by a WindowsWindows proxy tile.
  • Retains the acrylic Option+Tab switcher, mouse selection, independent Dock/Option+Tab modes, and live Option+Tab-only previews.

Requires macOS 14 or later plus Accessibility permission. Live previews require Screen Recording permission. This release is ad-hoc signed and not notarized.

@DurkaEbanaya DurkaEbanaya released this 22 Jul 12:56

WindowsWindows 1.1

  • Adds Windows-style repeat-click minimization for ordinary application icons in the macOS Dock.
  • The first click activates another application normally; clicking the already frontmost application minimizes its focused window.
  • Keeps WindowsWindows proxy tiles on their existing exact-window toggle path.
  • Fixes proxy Dock context-menu Quit/Close Window so it closes the represented real window instead of merely restarting the proxy tile.
  • Includes the Windows 10-style acrylic Option+Tab switcher, mouse selection, independent Dock/Option+Tab modes, and live previews in Option+Tab-only mode.

Requires macOS 14 or later plus Accessibility permission. Live previews require Screen Recording permission. This release is ad-hoc signed and not notarized.

WindowsWindows 1.0 Preview

Pre-release

Choose a tag to compare

@DurkaEbanaya DurkaEbanaya released this 10 Jul 13:24

WindowsWindows 1.0 Preview promotes the per-window Dock workflow to the 1.0 preview line.

Highlights:

  • Each proxy tile has a readable Application — Window title identity and a live window preview.
  • Clicking a tile raises its exact real window, or minimizes it when already focused.
  • Choosing Quit for a proxy tile now closes that exact real window through Accessibility instead of terminating and recreating the proxy.
  • The bundled wwctl TUI provides validated, atomic configuration editing.
  • Discovery and proxy reconciliation remain fail-closed when macOS Accessibility observations are incomplete.

The asset contains universal arm64 and x86_64 binaries for the app, proxy helper, and wwctl. It requires macOS 14 or later, Accessibility permission, and Screen Recording permission for previews. The archive is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized.
