Changelog

1.2.4

Classic Era, Hardcore, Season of Discovery, and TBC Anniversary

  • Expanded vendor pricing to supported item tooltips across inventory and bank, mail, merchants and buyback, professions, quest rewards, and the Auction House.
  • Added per-context options with saved preferences and a Defaults button.
  • Preserved Blizzard's native tooltip behavior when a context is disabled.
  • Known limitation: TBC Anniversary quest-log reward stacks may show only the unit Vendor price.

WoW Forever

  • Standardized supported item tooltips on Vendor and Vendor xN labels, including mail, professions, buyback, Auction House, and quest rewards.
  • Corrected the Map & Quest Log reward tooltip to use Vendor instead of Sell Price.
  • Kept Blizzard's native price values and preserved existing Auctionator integration.
  • Removed unused Forever tooltip formatting helpers and superseded quest-reward workarounds.

Architecture

  • Continued shared Compat.lua, Options.lua, and VendorPricePlus.lua architecture across supported clients.
  • WoW Forever, Classic Era, and TBC Anniversary were tested during 1.2.4 development; the known TBC quest-log reward stack limitation remains.

1.2.3

WoW Forever

  • Standardized bag and inventory vendor-price labels on Vendor and Vendor xN.
  • Added Forever Auctionator coexistence with a clean three-row presentation: Vendor, Auction, and Vendor xN for stacks.
  • Removed the redundant native Sell Price presentation when Auctionator and VendorPricePlus are both active.

Compatibility

  • Hardened stack-price calculations against protected/secret numeric values.
  • Action-bar item counts on supported legacy tooltip paths can recover a readable inventory count without performing arithmetic on a protected GetActionCount() value.
  • Falls back safely when a readable stack count is unavailable instead of allowing a protected value into price arithmetic.

Community

  • Incorporated the defensive secret-count approach reported and prototyped by Dirtimoney, adapted to VendorPricePlus's current compatibility architecture.

1.2.2

WoW Forever

  • Fixed protected/secret stack-count errors when hovering stackable items on action bars.
  • Restored Unit Price information for stackable action-bar item tooltips.
  • Fixed incorrect Unit Price detection on recipe tooltips.
  • Fixed duplicate Sell Price information on quest-offer reward tooltips.

1.2.1

WoW Forever

  • Fixed missing Sell Price on selectable quest rewards in the Map & Quest Log.
  • Fixed protected/secret tooltip geometry errors when hovering item actions such as food and water on the action bar.
  • Kept Forever price-row formatting on Blizzard's safe tooltip layout path instead of measuring protected FontString geometry.

1.2.0

WoW Forever

  • Added WoW Forever client detection and modern tooltip compatibility.
  • Added compact Sell Price formatting with right-aligned money values.
  • Added Unit Price directly beneath Sell Price for stacked item tooltips.
  • Added support for Inventory & Bank, Mail, Merchant & Buyback, Professions, and Quest Reward contexts.
  • Added missing vendor pricing to Forever quest reward tooltips.
  • Added a Blizzard AddOns settings panel with per-context enable/disable controls.
  • Added persistent settings through VendorPricePlusDB.
  • Leaves the Forever Auction House unchanged because its tooltip already reports the correct per-unit vendor value.

Architecture

  • Added Compat.lua as the client/API compatibility layer.
  • Moved third-party addon support into Integrations.lua.
  • Added Options.lua for settings and configuration UI.
  • Added human-readable comments around compatibility and tooltip behavior.
  • Preserved the established non-Forever Vendor Price Plus behavior for supported Classic clients.

Compatibility

  • WoW Forever: tested successfully.
  • TBC Anniversary: regression tested successfully.
  • Classic Era: regression tested successfully.
  • Mists of Pandaria Classic and Retail: not currently tested or advertised as supported.

1.1.3

  • Previous production release.
