Release 1.0.1

What has changed:

  • Configuration is now stored in ~/.audiosync.env
  • The loopback FIFO file is now in ~/.audiosync
  • Overall moved away from using WLED in the app and it's files to prevent confusion (wled-modules sounds like WLED MoonModules, a fork of WLED)
  • Fixed syntax in certain places, which allowed me to remove the path library.

What's new:

  • Removed the need for a file with the Pulseaudio module IDs. Instead, they are found manually with the list command.
  • Attempted to prevent WLED from getting stuck on the same FFT values when killing the app. It gets in a race condition and works sometimes.

Why is the binary so big? That's because there's nodejs bundled it in. Feel free to compile it yourself if you don't trust me.
pkg script.js --targets node18-linux-x64 --output ./audiosync

I'm quite confident this is okay to start using by now. Any issues may be reported in the issues tab.
Tested on Nobara linux (fedora), worked perfectly. Only issue I noticed is one of the strips in my room being a little out of sync when broadcasting, probably something on my end.

Why is the executable so large? There's freaking node js bundled in it 😄
If you don't trust me, feel free to compile it yourself:
pkg script.js --targets node18-linux-x64 --output ./wled-audiosync
