Jamoncito FX v0.1a
Jamoncito FX is a QSO logging tool for the Casio FX-870P and VX-4 pocket calculators. It is written in JIS Standard BASIC and mostly vibe-coded with a mix of models. Mostly Fable 5.
The software will allow the user to:
- Log contacts
- View contacts made
- Export to Casio Floppy Disk or RS-232 connection as a *.csv file
- Print to a compatible printer in the correct Casio electrostatic paper format.
- Set time and date and calibrate the clock (there is no internal RTC to leverage, so expect clock drift).
The software is very much at an Alpha stage but please feel free to look around and see how you can make improvements!
Thanks to Mark M5TEA for the great port of the PISI emulator. His browser-based emulator port can be found here at his repo. All credit goes to those involved there with those projects. This is just my attempt to try and write some software for the calculator and for the amateur radio community.
This is something novel to take with you on your next portable activation perhaps!?

HOW TO USE
- Download the *.bas file and import to the calculator and run.
- If using an emulator, open the *.bas file, copy and paste the code and import it using the code import feature in the emulator. Then, enter program mode on the calculator and enter RUN to execute the software.
NOTE: The IARU Band Plans page is not fully implemented yet. This page will serve as a scrollable 'quick reference' guide to key frequencies. This saves carrying along a reference sheet with you or trying to locate it while entering QSO's.
