Progression: Storage

Philosophy

Design principles from the Progression modpack that guide this mod:

  • We need a bubstantial amount of content, i.e. storage items are only removed if nescessary.
  • The patched mods should deliver a cohesive experience, i.e. storage items should have comparable descriptions and intuitive balancing.
  • Rimworld should be a pretty a game, i.e. usage of pretty storage items are incentivized.

Balancing Changes

This mod uses a deterministic approach to balancing, every storage item present on the pack is scrutized and rebalanced.

Starting of a baseline of 6 stacks per tile on Medieval era, storage capacity is added or removed based on the following criteria:

-2 if the item's era is bellow Medieval +2 if the item's era is above Medieval

+1 if the item is 1x2 +2 if the item is 2x2

-1 if the item is ugly, bad textures, cant be rotated etc

Cost is not taking into consideration as every resource is infinity. Space is not. Bonus capacity if the item accepts only very specific types of items
