Context Drop v0.1.5
See CHANGELOG.md for what's in this release.
Context Drop v0.1.4
/cd reliability, Windows-ready claim scripts, and an icon-only menu bar.
Download (macOS · Apple Silicon / arm64)
Context-Drop-v0.1.4-macos-arm64.dmg — signed + notarized by Apple. (macOS may still ask "downloaded from the Internet — open?" on first launch; it won't block it.)
Changed
- Menu bar: icon only. The
○ Context Drop/● Context Drop · Ntext is gone. A drop icon shows the state: outlined while idle, filled green while capturing. The live item count is in the tooltip. - The Claude Code plugin version is now
0.1.4, so updating the marketplace picks up the new/context-drop:pull.
Fixed
/cd <instruction>sometimes skipped the packet (the model treated the instruction as a standalone task and never claimed it, leaving the packet in Current Packet)./cdnow claims the packet the moment it expands, before the model acts./context-drop:pullmakes the claim its first step and treats the instruction as always being about the packet.- Windows: the claim no longer needs
sh/Git Bash (claim.ps1, written in by the installer on Windows). - The app refreshes an already-installed Context Drop
/cdat startup, so existing users get alias fixes automatically.
Install / update
- Open the .dmg → drag Context Drop.app to Applications (replace the old one) → launch (menu bar).
- In Claude Code, update the plugin:
(Sessions that were already open need
/plugin marketplace update context-drop /plugin install context-drop@context-drop /reload-plugins/reload-pluginsor a new session.) - Optional:
/cdshort alias — Settings → Claude Code Setup → Optional / offline install → Install /cd short alias (orcontext-drop install-claude --short-alias). An existing Context Drop/cdis updated automatically when the app starts.
Apple Silicon only for the desktop app.
Context Drop v0.1.3
Fix on top of v0.1.2.
Download (macOS · Apple Silicon / arm64)
Context-Drop-v0.1.3-macos-arm64.dmg — signed + notarized by Apple. (macOS may still ask "downloaded from the Internet — open?" on first launch; it won't block it.)
Fixed
- The in-app Claude Code Setup and README no longer claim
/cdships with the plugin. The plugin provides/context-drop:pull(plus:status,:undo);/cdis an optional short alias installed separately.
Install
- Open the .dmg → drag Context Drop.app to Applications → launch (menu bar).
- In Claude Code:
(Sessions that were already open need
/plugin marketplace add EarthLinkNetwork/context-drop /plugin install context-drop@context-drop /reload-plugins/reload-pluginsor a new session.) - Optional: add the
/cdshort alias — Settings → Claude Code Setup → Optional / offline install → Install /cd short alias (orcontext-drop install-claude --short-alias). - Start Capture (or drag & drop files), then run
/context-drop:pull <instruction>(or/cd <instruction>) in the target session.
Apple Silicon only; Intel/Windows planned.
Context Drop v0.1.2
Small fix on top of v0.1.1.
Download (macOS · Apple Silicon / arm64)
Context-Drop-v0.1.2-macos-arm64.dmg — signed + notarized by Apple (opens without a Gatekeeper warning).
Fixed
- Last Dispatch no longer counts up every second; times under a minute show "just now".
Install: open the .dmg → drag Context Drop.app to Applications → launch. Then in Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add EarthLinkNetwork/context-drop and /plugin install context-drop@context-drop, then /reload-plugins; run /context-drop:pull <instruction> (/cd needs the optional short alias). Apple Silicon only.
Correction (2026-10-02):
/cdis not part of the plugin — it is an optional short alias installed separately (Settings → Claude Code Setup → Optional / offline install → Install /cd short alias, orcontext-drop install-claude --short-alias). Use/context-drop:pull <instruction>; already-open sessions need/reload-plugins. Fixed in-app in v0.1.3.
Context Drop v0.1.1
Setup UX overhaul on top of v0.1.0.
Download (macOS · Apple Silicon / arm64)

/context-drop:pull <instruction>(or/cdwith the optional short alias) in the target tab.
Apple Silicon (arm64) only; Intel/Windows planned.
Correction (2026-10-02):
/cdis not part of the plugin — it is an optional short alias installed separately (Settings → Claude Code Setup → Optional / offline install → Install /cd short alias, orcontext-drop install-claude --short-alias). Use/context-drop:pull <instruction>; already-open sessions need/reload-plugins. Fixed in-app in v0.1.3.
Context Drop v0.1.0
Local-only desktop utility that captures raw context (clipboard, screenshots, logs, JSON, dropped files) into a temporary packet and routes it — per Claude Code session — to an isolated subagent that returns a compact result, keeping raw context out of the main conversation.
