GTerm (Screenshot Tool Changes)
TL;DR Screenshot tool changes, agent logging and a wrapped line fix.
Screenshots no longer litter the Steam library
Capture used to go through the jpeg console command. This used to litter the Steam library screenshot folder. Now it uses render.Capture and passes the screen data through the data/ folder.
New tool: take_screenshot_region
Takes x, y, width, height in screen pixels, origin top-left. Your standard region capture.
take_screenshot is now a last resort
This change was needed as in many cases the agent would loop around using screenshot and conclude the task was completed when it was clearly not. Now the tool instruct the agent to provide a reason for the screenshot and mentions it should only be used as last resort or if the user explicitly requires it. This also makes take_screenshot_region more appealing to the agent and therefore brings better results on the table.
Seeing what an agent is doing
MCP clients show a tool name but usually not its arguments, which makes an agent's work invisible while it happens. GTerm now prints a magenta [agent] line into its own console before each call:
- Lua on its own lines with Monokai syntax highlighting
- Console commands highlighted inline
- Realm badges using the wiki's own colours: client amber, server blue
Fixes
- Console lines wider than the window wrapped onto several rows, but only one row was accounted for, so the next line was written back over the middle of the previous one and left orphaned fragments on screen. Long output now renders intact.
- Screenshot dimensions are read from the real frame rather than scraped from a console line, so they are no longer occasionally reported as unknown.
