Choose a tag to compare

@Edwardd02 Edwardd02 released this 26 Aug 09:12

What's changed

  • Accept Ghost Text with Right Arrow while keeping Tab for native shell completion.
  • Avoid the macOS Ctrl+Space input-source shortcut conflict.
  • Clear stale Ghost Text before Zsh native completion and invalidate in-flight suggestions.
  • Repair legacy Tab bindings when reloading the Hook in an open Zsh session.

Upgrade

brew update
brew upgrade shellclaw

Open a new terminal after upgrading, or reload the Hook in the current session.

ShellClaw v0.0.2

This release hardens the local-first completion pipeline and fixes the Homebrew installation path end to end.

Highlights

  • Real per-session cancellation and non-blocking SQLite/llama.cpp workers
  • Secure per-user Unix socket, bounded JSON-RPC frames, and shell-safe UTF-8 transport
  • Zsh ghost text via POSTDISPLAY with native widget preservation
  • SQLite deduplication/ranking fixes and sub-millisecond measured memory fast path
  • Automatic, idempotent Homebrew Zsh setup with resumable dual-source model download
  • Metal model idle unload after 30 seconds; measured idle RSS about 109 MB and near-zero CPU
  • Bash hook is included as experimental/manual support

Measured on the release machine

  • SQLite memory fast path: about 0.319 ms
  • Cold model completion: about 659 ms total
  • Model TTFT: about 37-39 ms
  • Active model inference may briefly use about 659 MB RSS

The <15 ms TTFT target and <600 MB active-inference RSS target are not yet met; idle residency is below 600 MB after automatic unload.

Asset

  • shellclaw-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.gz
