• Background remote-control archive recovery allows long commits and uploads to
  finish instead of interrupting them after a fixed request timeout. Recovery
  remains cancellable on shutdown and retains its pending publication receipts.
• Opening a saved conversation reads its verified archive boundary without
  waiting for the next turn's settlement locks. Native claim and publication
  checks continue to prevent a stale boundary from hiding uncached messages.
• Local daemon diagnostics include bounded failure details for archive landing,
  commits, and publication so a repository problem can be diagnosed directly.
