Low Power
This is what I personally measured via the return (ground) path from the Phob, so includes both 3.3V and 5V draw. All builds are identical firmware - only the system clock differs (lower clock = less power):
| Build (system clock) | Current | vs. stock |
|---|---|---|
| Stock v0.31 | 56.3mA | 100% |
| 100MHz | 41.5mA | 73.7% |
| 75MHz | 38.6mA | 68.6% |
| 50MHz | 35.6mA | 63.2% |
| 25MHz (default) | 32.6mA | 57.9% |
Which build should I pick?
- 25MHz - the default. Lowest current, best compatibility. Holds 1kHz with a thin margin. Recommended starting point.
- 50MHz - the "safe side." Comfortable timing margin, still a big power saving. Pick this if you want more safety, or if the 25MHz build ever feels off.
- 75 / 100MHz. Progressively more headroom and current, closer to stock timing.
