Adds a SQL console, live-streaming logs and read-only connections. Row editing is also safer: an edit now changes only the row you meant to change.

What's Included

  • Added a SQL page for running queries against the active database. Press Ctrl+Enter to run. If you run several statements at once, each result gets its own tab, with its row count and how long it took.
  • The SQL page remembers your last 25 queries. You can reopen any of them from the history button.
  • Query results can be exported to CSV or JSON.
  • Logs now stream in as they are written, instead of reloading every two seconds. Turn off Follow to load just the recent lines once.
  • Logs can be filtered by level (Errors, Warnings+, Info+) or by text. A Clear button empties the view.
  • Logs scroll to the newest line automatically. This pauses when you scroll up to read older lines and resumes when you scroll back to the bottom.
  • Added read-only mode for connections. It blocks row edits, reducer calls and SQL that writes (anything other than SELECT, SHOW or EXPLAIN). The app itself refuses these writes, not just the buttons.
  • New Maincloud and self-hosted connections start in read-only mode. Local connections start writable. You can change it at any time with the Read-only switch in the connection panel.
  • Read-only connections show a lock icon in the connection picker and a Read-only badge in the page header. On the Tables page they show rows but no edit controls.
  • If you have already logged in with the spacetime CLI, the connection panel shows your CLI servers as one-click shortcuts. It also offers to use your CLI token, so you don't need to copy and paste it.
  • Fixed inline edits sometimes being saved to the wrong row, or to no row, when the table has no primary key.
  • Saving a row now only writes the columns you changed. Edits and deletes are refused unless they match exactly one row.
  • Edited cells are highlighted until you save them. Press Enter or the save icon to save, or Esc or the undo icon to discard.
  • Fixed tables with a Timestamp or other complex column not being editable at all.
  • Fixed text columns holding numbers (such as "123") being saved as numbers, and large u64 values losing digits.
  • Deleting a row now asks for confirmation and shows the row first.
  • The Tables page shows the total row count (for example, "Rows 1–25 of 1,234").
  • Tables can be exported to CSV or JSON, including any WHERE filter you've applied, up to 100,000 rows.
  • Column types now show readable names such as Identity, Timestamp, Option or your own struct names, instead of "Product" or "type_ref(3)".
  • Identities and timestamps are shown as readable values in table cells.
  • Primary key columns are marked with a key icon.
  • Schedule tables have a timer icon and show which reducer they schedule.
  • Columns that can't be written with SQL are shown read-only in the row editor, with a note to use a reducer instead.
  • Paging stops after 10,000 rows, with a prompt to add a WHERE filter to narrow the table.
  • The Functions page now labels lifecycle reducers correctly (init, client connected, client disconnected) and marks scheduled reducers.
  • Lifecycle reducers can no longer be run from the app. SpacetimeDB runs these itself and rejects direct calls.
  • Reducer errors now appear inside the Run Function panel instead of behind it.
  • Requests now time out after 30 seconds, so an unresponsive server no longer leaves a page loading forever.
  • When the server rejects a token, the error message now says so, instead of only showing the raw status code.
  • Connections whose check times out now show as Offline instead of Error.
  • The app now keeps a log file in the Windows log folder, which helps with diagnosing connection problems.
  • Schedule tables are now listed first in each section of the table list.
  • Tidied the bar above the table: a schedule table now shows a Schedules badge, empty tables say "No rows", and the controls stay right-aligned when the window is narrow.

Notes

This release is Windows-only. For MacOS and Linux please build from source (See readme).

The app is unsigned, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning on first install.

Connection profiles and stored tokens carry over from v0.4.0; no reconfiguration is needed. Existing connections stay writable; turn on Read-only in a connection's settings if you want it.
