This is a larger pass on managing perception and building out the visuals in Moments. The existing group setup still works, but there's now one place to manage it and more control over what each group sees. There's also been a much larger effort to minimize/decrease framerate drops.

New -

  • Perception Window - Manage tokens, tiles, lights, and doors from one window. Seen by controls who can see something, and Sees controls which groups a token can perceive.
  • Group editing - Select multiple things and change their groups together. Includes search, a Tagged filter, and a picker that lets you select things on the map without switching between tools. You can also locate something or open its configuration from the list.
  • Viewing as - Preview a specific token or group from the Perception Window. Visibility, disguises, and atmosphere use the same perspective so you can check what that group gets.
  • Atmosphere sections - Mood, Background, Foreground, and Particles now have their own controls. Mix effects, change their colors, density, speed, and size, and reset a section without resetting everything else.
  • Additional atmosphere presets - Sleeting Storm, Arcane Glimmer, Maelstrom, Floodwater, Prism Bloom, and Northern Lights. Includes controls specific to the effect, like whirlpool direction and eye size or the number of aurora bands.
  • Atmosphere placement - Put effects over the scene or on the ground beneath tokens. Supported effects can glow in the dark, with a separate glow setting for particles. Weather-restricting roofs and suppression regions are also accounted for, including the level being viewed in V14.
  • Iridescent Sheen - New transition with controls for where it enters and exits, the tilt of its bars, and how they move across the scene.

Changes -

  • Transition timing - Scene Coverage is separate from Intensity, so you can control how much the transition hides the scene independently of the effect itself. Cover In and Hold Covered control the timing, and the timeline shows the covered portion.
  • Moment selection - Moments are grouped by the scene you're viewing, unassigned moments, and other scenes. Switching scenes or groups asks about unsaved changes, and trying to run a moment with missing targets gives you a warning before continuing.
  • Stop Moment - Stops the running moment and cancels its remaining steps. Perception grants, disguises, and atmospheres already applied remain until you clear them.
  • Effect Detail - Each user can choose Full, Balanced, or Light. Lower settings reduce particle work for people whose computers struggle with the effects.
  • Existing atmospheres are updated to the new section format automatically. Added field help and more consistent dropdowns throughout the builder.

Fixes -

  • Temporary perception effects no longer remove a group that's still granted by another effect or a manual selection. Group changes also account for equipped item effects, expiry, and linked tokens on other scenes.
  • Resolved perception status entries getting lost when dnd5e rebuilds its status list. PF2e uses its own effect items for perception grants, so the module doesn't depend on custom ActiveEffects there.
  • Disguised tokens hide their real resource bars. Removing a disguise restores the original nameplate, bars, and border, and disguise images reload properly after changing scenes.
  • Starting another moment or clearing effects cancels pending steps from the previous run, so an old step doesn't play later after you've moved on.
  • Markers at the same point on the timeline now stack into separate rows. Configuration sheets also keep their scroll position when perception sections update.
  • Corrected the Moment Builder and Catalog entries in V13 scene menus, including opening the builder for the scene you selected.
  • Reduced repeated visibility and lighting refreshes when several perception changes happen together.
