Miyonos 0.1.36 — Safer wake-up and playlist shuffle

Highlights

• The first physical app button after Idle battery saver is now wake-only. Waking with A restores Miyonos without also pausing Sonos playback.
• Hold R2 for about one second on Now Playing to toggle non-repeating Sonos playlist shuffle. A short R2 press still opens Favorites.
• The release keeps the group-first Now Playing controls, individual Speaker Volumes screen, playlist context and cover art, and the large-collection safeguards from the recent updates.

Install

Download Miyonos-App-0.1.36.zip, unzip it, and copy the included Miyonos folder into OnionOS's App folder. When updating, keep the existing App/Miyonos/data directory so your settings, artwork cache, and logs remain intact.

You can also enable OnionOS HTTP: Web-based file sync, open the Miyoo's local page in a browser, open App, and upload the same Miyonos folder.

Verification status

The package passed the complete desktop, simulator, installer, package-integrity, and ARM build checks. It remains a technical preview while the final physical Miyoo smoke test for this exact release is pending.

Miyonos controls Sonos locally on your network. It does not require a Miyonos account, Sonos cloud login, API key, analytics, or advertising.

Miyonos 0.1.34 — Wake-friendly idle saver

Highlights

• Idle battery saver now leaves one readable, dim static Miyonos frame in the framebuffer and stops further presentation.
• A short Miyoo power-button press wakes the LCD directly to that frame; no second app button press is needed.
• Idle mode still pauses queued cover downloads and uses reduced Sonos polling.

Miyonos 0.1.33 — Reliable large collections

Highlights

• Large non-playlist Favorites such as My Songs now open directly with a bounded 20-second source-open deadline.
• Miyonos does not try to add thousands of collection tracks to the queue.
• The Favorites screen shows Opening collection... while Sonos accepts the source.

Miyonos 0.1.32 — Group-first controls

Highlights

• Now Playing always controls the active Sonos group.
• R1 switches to the next Sonos group; L1 opens Speaker Volumes for individual room adjustments.
• Group volume buttons use Sonos' relative group control and then refresh every visible speaker's actual volume.
• Untouched default button layouts update automatically.

Miyonos 0.1.31 — Now Playing playlist cover

Now Playing now keeps the active playlist in a dedicated lower-right block: playlist name beside its cover art, separate from the current track cover on the left. The block remains visible as Sonos advances through later generic queue tracks.

The playlist artwork uses the existing bounded cache and a compact in-memory thumbnail, so controls remain responsive.

Miyonos 0.1.30 — Persistent playlist label

Now Playing keeps showing the playlist you selected in Miyonos while Sonos moves through later queue tracks. Sonos often replaces the playlist metadata with a generic queue URI after the first song; Miyonos now retains the selected playlist context for that active group queue.

Routine topology refreshes of the same group no longer clear the label or interrupt the current screen. Starting a different source or changing group still clears the old context safely.

Miyonos 0.1.29 — Queue track cover art

Queue now shows a compact cover-art thumbnail for every visible track. Covers load lazily from Sonos, one at a time, and use the existing bounded disk cache plus a small eight-thumbnail memory cache to keep the Miyoo responsive.

A read-only check against the owner's live Sonos queue confirmed that all 50 current tracks exposed a cover-art reference.

Miyonos 0.1.28 — Real Sonos playlist and queue routing

Queue now reads Sonos' real Q:0 track container rather than technical queue instances. The Queue X view lists playlist-shaped Sonos Favorites, including Spotify playlists. Selecting one cleanly replaces the current queue, opens Now Playing immediately, and retains its playlist name.

Validated against the owner's live Sonos system.

Miyonos 0.1.27 — Immediate playlist Now Playing

Selecting a Saved Playlist now opens Now Playing immediately and shows the chosen playlist name before Sonos returns its first metadata response. Older in-flight metadata cannot overwrite the new selection. If the playlist cannot start, Miyonos restores the previous playback context.

Miyonos 0.1.26 — Queue matches Sonos

Queue now always displays Sonos' active Q: queue—the same queue shown in the Sonos app. Saved Playlists is kept separate under X, so playlist-browse entries no longer appear as duplicate queue items.
