One-click updates

• Press Update once: the new version downloads inside the app, installs silently, and the app relaunches by itself — no browser, no manual installer.
• Live progress on the button and the status bar: Downloading… N% → Installing….
• Clear feedback when you are already up to date (Check for updates), and a retry path if the download fails.
• Fixed the update banner showing v? as the current version (the renderer has no require(), so the version now comes from the preload script).

Note: v1.4.0 and older still show the old manual download link — updating to 1.4.1 unlocks the one-click flow.

v1.4.0 — Italian localization, first-run setup, eli6 icon

Italian localization (new)

• The whole interface is now translated: title bar, navigation, every settings group and row, buttons, toggles, status messages, update banner and lock prompt
• The app detects your Windows language on first launch — Italian systems start in IT, everything else in EN — and you can still switch any time from the top bar, the settings panel or the setup window
• Tabs, bookmarks, hotkey labels, screenshots and error messages all localize too

First-run setup window (new)

• On the very first launch a centered setup window opens over a dimmed overlay: pick the language, review every option (appearance, behaviour, browser, position, auto-hide, lock, system, hotkeys), then press Start
• You can also close it with ✕ or by clicking outside — it only appears once

Real app icon

• The executable, installer, Start menu/desktop shortcut, window and tray now use the eli6 logo instead of the leftover ScreenPrompt icon

Other changes

• Start with Windows still switches on automatically the first time the app runs, and stays off if you turn it off (verified: first run enables it, later runs respect your choice)
• Language preference, setup state and all settings persist across restarts

v1.3.0 — Ad blocker, draggable window, process name

Ad blocker (new)

• Network-level ad and tracker blocking powered by EasyList, EasyPrivacy and uBlock Origin filter lists — on by default
• Toggle in Settings → Behaviour → Ad blocker
• Filter lists are cached on disk, so startup stays instant after the first launch, blocking keeps working offline, and the lists refresh weekly
• Ads and trackers are cancelled before they load. Cosmetic element-hiding is not included yet (it needs a newer Electron runtime)

Other changes

• The process now appears as System Browser Helper in Task Manager and the Start menu — tray icon and hotkeys are unchanged
• The window can be dragged from the title bar and the navigation bar
• Start with Windows is switched on automatically the first time the app runs (turn it off in Settings → System)
• Website: fixed character-encoding corruption, still EN/IT and mobile-friendly

What's new

• Update notifications — Eli6Overlay now checks GitHub Releases for new versions on startup. When an update is available, a banner appears at the bottom of the app with a direct download link. No automatic installs — you decide when to update.
• Check for updates manually — Settings → System → ''Check now'' button
• Update banner can be dismissed and will reappear next launch if update is still pending.
