Glance 2026.08.06.3 moves PDF and archive support into isolated optional components.

Highlights

  • Install PDF preview as an optional component, with Office support depending on it automatically.
  • Preview ZIP, 7z, RAR, tar, ISO, and other common archive formats without extracting the full archive first.
  • Configure rich-document rendering from Document Preview when the PDF component is available.
  • View file permission information correctly in the preview footer.

Release contents

  • Glance-Setup-2026.08.06.3-x64.exe: Recommended installer containing the core application and selectable optional components. All components are selected by default on a new installation.
  • Glance-2026.08.06.3-x64.zip: Portable core application without optional components.
  • Glance-Component-<Name>-2026.08.06.3-x64.zip: Standalone optional component. Use only the package from the same Glance release, extract it into the application's components directory, and restart Glance.
  • Glance-2026.08.06.3-x64-symbols.zip: Debug symbols for diagnostics and crash analysis.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt: SHA-256 checksums for every release asset.
