Glance 2026.08.11 adds continuous gallery browsing and moves advanced media information into an optional component.

Highlights

  • Browse images, audio, and video in File Explorer order with synchronized selection and optional continuous scrolling.
  • Switch large image folders more smoothly with adjacent-image preloading.
  • Install advanced media information as an optional component that reuses FFprobe from PATH or prepares a verified copy after confirmation.
  • Find components in alphabetical order and view correct component size estimates in the installer.
  • Read long names more easily in multi-file previews while retaining their beginning and file extension.

Release contents

  • Glance-Setup-2026.08.11-x64.exe: Recommended installer containing the core application and selectable optional components. All components are selected by default on a new installation.
  • Glance-2026.08.11-x64.zip: Portable core application without optional components.
  • Glance-Component-<Name>-2026.08.11-x64.zip: Standalone optional component. Use only the package from the same Glance release, extract it into the application's components directory, and restart Glance.
  • Glance-2026.08.11-x64-symbols.zip: Debug symbols for diagnostics and crash analysis.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt: SHA-256 checksums for every release asset.
