Glance 2026.08.19 makes Office previews open directly through locally installed Preview Handlers.

Highlights

  • Preview Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files without intermediate PDF conversion or the PDF preview component.
  • Automatically preview blocked network Office files through temporary local copies with a brief warning.
  • Keep preview notices and update dialogs visible above native Office, text, and web preview surfaces.
  • Apply the PDF preview resolution setting only to PDF rendering.
