Verdant is a self-hosted garden journal built by a gardener — log plantings, harvests, pests and costs, plan the backyard, organize the seed stash. One Docker container, no cloud, your data stays home.

- Installation — get Verdant running with Docker or Dockge in about two minutes, plus upgrading, backups of the setup, and reaching it outside your LAN.
- Troubleshooting — the greatest-hits fixes: the app can't reach Ollama or Immich, the UI looks stale after an upgrade, and friends.
- Tips & Tricks — workflows that aren't obvious until you've lived in the app a while: NFC-tag everything, Quick Log on your phone's home screen, keyboard photo matching, and more.
The README has the full tour with screenshots: calendar heatmap, plant profiles, photo albums, seed stash, the 3D backyard planner, NFC tags, season scorecard, costs, pests, CSV import, Immich imports, and the morning Discord digest.
Every release is tagged on the releases page with notes on what's new. The Docker image (ghcr.io/elyld/verdant:latest, also tagged per release) rebuilds automatically.
THIS IS 100% VIBE CODED. This is just a personal project, built by someone with no coding knowledge. It works, it's loved, and it's a little feral in places. 🌱
