AgentGrid v0.2.0
AgentGrid v0.2.0 turns the initial control-plane implementation into a polished, reproducible, and documented engineering release.
Highlights
- One-command local deployment: PostgreSQL, the Rust API, the bundled demo MCP server, and the React/Nginx frontend now start through Docker Compose.
- Production container builds: multi-stage images keep build tooling out of the runtime containers.
- Operational health checks: Compose verifies PostgreSQL, API, and frontend readiness in dependency order.
- Safer local networking: published services bind to
127.0.0.1. - Technical case study: the repository now explains the problem, architecture, execution lifecycle, policy engine, persistent sessions, security boundary, persistence model, testing strategy, trade-offs, and limitations.
- Visual proof: the main documentation includes a verified dashboard screenshot.
- Release-wide version alignment: root package, frontend package, Rust workspace, internal crate dependency versions, and lockfiles are aligned to
0.2.0.
Validation
The release was validated with:
npm run verify- PostgreSQL integration tests
- MCP end-to-end tests
docker compose config- a Docker Compose cold start with
--build --detach --wait - direct API health checks
- API checks through the Nginx proxy
- frontend health checks
- GitHub Actions CI
The end-to-end suite covers allow and deny policies, human approval, input-schema validation, MCP process failures, malformed protocol responses, concurrency protection, persistent-session reuse, invalidation, crash recovery, and secret injection without persistence.
Compatibility
- The API remains versioned as
/api/v1. - Existing PostgreSQL data is preserved when upgrading without removing the Docker volume.
- Embedded SQLx migrations continue to run automatically when the API starts.
- No API-version breaking change is introduced in this release.
Run AgentGrid
cp .env.example .env
docker compose up --build --detach --waitOpen http://localhost:3000.
