Release Notes - v1.0.0 - Initial Release

This is the first official release of the Funda AI EdTech Store desktop app. As part of the FundaAI AI School

Key Features & Setup:

Cross-Platform Application: Initial build for macOS (arm64) and preparation for Linux distributions.

Core Application Functionality:

  • Admin authentication and user management capabilities.
  • Browse and view details for educational applications from the FundaHub store.
  • Secure application download functionality with progress indicators and duplicate handling.
  • Device registration for users.
  • Automatic Updates: Integrated electron-updater to enable seamless automatic application updates directly from GitHub Releases.
  • Users will be notified when new updates are available and can install them with a simple restart.
  • Persistent Device ID: Implemented a system for generating and storing a persistent client device ID.
  • Enhanced Logging: Improved logging throughout the main Electron process for better diagnostics.
For Users:
  • Download the appropriate asset for your operating system (.dmg or .zip for macOS).
  • Future updates will be delivered automatically within the application.
