MariaDB by default

init now offers MariaDB only. The database type prompt is gone, and --database changed from a
value option to a negatable flag:

  • before: --database=mariadb --database-version=11.4
  • now: --database-version=11.4 (or --no-database to skip the database entirely)

A init --no-interaction run on a Symfony project now configures a MariaDB database by default;
pass --no-database to opt out.

MySQL and PostgreSQL are no longer proposed for new projects, but ci:add and ci:update still
detect them in an existing compose.yaml and generate the matching pipeline.

Versions aligned on Upsun

Only versions still supported by Upsun are
offered:

Offered Default
MariaDB 12.3, 11.8, 11.4 11.8 (latest LTS — 12.3 is a short-term rolling release)
PHP 8.4, 8.5 8.4

Retired versions were dropped: MariaDB 10.11 / 10.6, MySQL 8.0 / 5.7, PostgreSQL 13 and older, and
PHP 8.3 (end of life). PHP 8.3 stays detectable in existing projects so their CI keeps matching.

Other

  • init is now covered by tests (InitCommandTest).
