v0.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Sep 03:53

Metadata files out of your folders

Each video's .meta.json file used to sit beside it. A library can now keep them together in its own hidden .fsmgr folder instead, so the folders you sort by hand hold only videos, scripts and subtitles.

  • Choose it per library on the Libraries page. The files already there move over in the background, and the library works as usual meanwhile.
  • Settings → Library sets where new libraries start.
  • A folder outside the library can be used too, as an experimental option.

Improvements

  • The .fsmgr and .fsmgr-cache folders in each library are hidden in Explorer.
  • Library cards on the Libraries page are laid out in two columns: the library's settings, and its entries.

v0.2.0

Now with full VR support

VR video on your monitor. 180°, 360° and fisheye files — MKX200, MKX220, VRCA220, RF52 — play as a picture you can look around, no headset needed. Thumbnails and previews stop showing warped double images.

Your library inside SteamVR. Browse, search, queue and play without taking the headset off, with the script player on a panel of its own. Out of beta, on for everyone.

Fixes

  • Unplugging a device mid-script no longer throws a Windows error box. Plug it back in and it picks the script up where it left off.
  • Theme and language changes reach detached player windows right away.

VR panel

  • Seek from inside VR. The now-playing strip carries the heatmap scrubber, sized for a laser pointer, so you can see where you are in a video and jump elsewhere without taking the headset off. It folds down to a thin playhead when you want the room back.
  • Either hand. Reach for a panel with whichever hand is nearer and that hand uses it. Pointing the other hand at it first is no longer needed, and a resting hand no longer fights the one that is moving.

Also in this release

Everything in 0.1.3:

  • Downloads from 26 more video sites, with pages from unlisted sites tried through yt-dlp and videos in X posts downloaded as well.
  • Serial ports chosen from a list, and update notes for the version that is running.
  • Fixes to the script-to-video question, multi-axis script versions, and two Settings layouts.

v0.1.3

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Sep 16:31

Downloads from 26 more video sites

Paste a link from any of them and it downloads into your library like the sites already supported, with the site shown on the link's badge.

  • Videos in an X post download too. A post carrying several becomes one job per video.
  • A page from a site nothing here knows is now tried through yt-dlp first, which finds the player on many unnamed sites.
  • A profile, channel or search page is turned down rather than downloaded whole.
  • Two more sources can be signed into, for videos that need an account.

Improvements

  • Serial ports are chosen from a list of the machine's ports instead of typed. One that is no longer plugged in stays on the list, marked as missing.
  • The Updates card shows what the running version brought when there is nothing to install, and re-checks right away when you switch channel.

Fixes

  • The question about which video a script belongs to can be answered, and is asked once per script set rather than once per file.
  • A main script dropped beside its axis files joins their version instead of starting one of its own.
  • Opening a card's extra fields in Settings no longer pushes the cards beside it down the page.
  • The speed limit's mode is readable again instead of squeezed to one letter.

Trying the VR panel

Browsing and playing from inside SteamVR is out on the beta channel. To try it, set Settings → Updates → Channel to Beta.

  • VR panel (beta): browse your library and start videos from inside SteamVR, without taking the headset off.
    • The panel shows up whenever SteamVR is running. Point a controller at it to use it; the rest of the time your controllers work in the player as usual.
    • Browse with large covers, search, pinned tags and favourites, choose a script version, and play. Videos play in HereSphere, which needs to be in your player list.
    • A queue with shuffle and repeat, and playlists you can play, reorder, and save the queue into.
    • A second panel beside it holds the script player.
    • Hold grip on a panel to move it. The main panel can hang on your left wrist; turn the back of your right hand towards you to bring it back.
    • Size, height and opacity can be set for each panel.
  • Theme and language changes now reach detached player windows right away.
  • Includes everything in 0.1.2.

v0.1.2

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Sep 19:24
  • Pinned tags: pin a tag to get a one-click filter for it above the library. Pinned tags also sit at the top of the tag list in the filter sidebar.
  • MEGA: built-in MEGA downloads are much faster, and the number of connections can be set in Settings. To use your MEGA account's transfer quota, install MEGAcmd from the new MEGA card and download through it.
  • Captchas in a row: when a host asks for a captcha on every file, solving one opens the next file's captcha right away.
  • Fixes: with more than one library, scrolling no longer shows some videos twice, skips others, or gets stuck. A video site that kept repeating its browser check now lets you through, and its downloads work again.
  • Try the VR panel: a panel for browsing and playing from inside SteamVR is out on the beta channel. To try it, set Settings → Updates → Channel to Beta.

v0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 17 Sep 12:22
  • More downloads work: gofile works again, downloads follow the system proxy, and more video sites can be downloaded at the quality you choose. Folder links from cloud hosts are expanded into their files.
  • Site checks: when a site asks for a captcha or a browser check, open it in a window and pass it; the waiting downloads then retry on their own.
  • Download queue: running and waiting jobs share one Downloading tab, and the list beside posts can pause, resume and cancel jobs.
  • Posts: new posts appear at the top, "Add a link" is easier to find, and a link check that can't decide says why and offers to open the site. Notes beside links no longer show leftover markup. Scripts in posts with several videos can be paired by hand.
  • Built-in player: plays formats the browser can't by converting them on the fly, keeps its position when moved to its own window and back, and keeps the playing video when the queue is cleared.
  • Library: repair multi-axis scripts that were split into separate versions, remove items from the library from the context menu, and see what a merge will produce before merging.
  • Safe-for-work switch in the top bar blurs covers and previews until you point at one.
  • Errors now show beside what caused them, or as a notice at the top of the window.

v0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Sep 16:10

First release.

  • Libraries of videos and audio with their scripts and subtitles. Several script versions and axes per video are grouped automatically, and each video keeps a .meta.json beside it that stays readable without the app.
  • Organising with tags, script authors, studios, ratings and playlists, a filter sidebar and an advanced search.
  • EroScripts posts: paste a link, see its scripts and video sources, and download what you pick. The post's tags, author and link are filed with the video.
  • Downloads from pixeldrain, mega, gofile, Google Drive, Dropbox, MediaFire, video sites and direct links, in a queue that picks up again after a restart. yt-dlp and ffmpeg are downloaded on first run.
  • Playback in the built-in player, mpv, MPC-HC or HereSphere. Scripts drive TCode devices or The Handy from the built-in script player, or go through MultiFunPlayer.
  • Updates are checked from the About page, on the stable or beta channel.
  • In English, Chinese, Japanese, German and French.
