EndlessPixel 26.2-a3

Third alpha for the 26.2 series – removes JEI to resolve network packet decoding errors, syncing the fix from 26.1.2-1.6. All other mods added in a2 remain present.

🗑️ Removed Mods

  • jei – 30.0.0.3
    Removed due to causing packet decoding errors
  • JustEnoughProfessions – 12.0.0
    Removed alongside JEI to resolve compatibility issues

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed [#56] – Resolved Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Failed to decode packet 'clientbound/minecraft:custom_payload' by removing JEI and its add-ons. This fix is synced from the 26.1.2-1.6 hotfix and applies to the 26.2 alpha branch as well

📝 Summary

This alpha carries over the critical JEI removal from 26.1.2-1.6, ensuring the 26.2 series remains stable and free of network packet errors. All other mods introduced in a2 remain intact, including Xaero's maps, entity rendering improvements, sodium-extra, and quality-of-life additions. Users are advised to avoid JEI until a stable version is available for the 26.2 series.
