RRL-v3.1.0
Adds externally-driven selection and camera framing. An app outside the viewer can select entities and frame the camera on them — cheap enough to drive from a hover handler.
import rerun as rr
rr.enodo.focus_entities(["/world/robot/arm"], do_pan=True, do_rotate=False)
rr.enodo.focus_entities([]) # clear, reframe whole scene
rr.enodo.focus_entities(["/world/robot/arm"], color=(0, 255, 120), width=2.0) # colour-code itEvery 3D view containing a named entity reframes, and each path covers its whole subtree (/robot frames and highlights /robot/link_3). Commands never reach a rotated .rrd.
Selection outlines are now high-vis orange and 3× thicker — the theme's near-white was too faint against a 3D scene — and a command can override both the colour and the thickness per call. width is a multiplier on the default emphasis, clamped to 0.25–8×; note it also thickens the hover outline in that view, since the renderer keeps one radius for both outline layers.
Details: RRL_SELECTION_FOCUS_SPEC.md.
Upgrading from
RRL-v3.0.3or earlier?RRL-v3.0.4renamed rotated.rrdfiles from a counter to a time span — breaking for the log broker. Read its notes first.
Every RRL-* wheel reports the same version (0.32.0a1+dev), so pip won't see an upgrade — use --force-reinstall or pin by URL. rerun --version should contain RRL-v3.1.0 b31384d.
Re-tagged: the wheels have been rebuilt twice since first publication — for the outline colour and parent-path highlighting fixes, then for per-command outline width. The current build is b31384d. If you pulled this release earlier, check rerun --version; earlier downloads report 38a975e or 86535b0, and pip will not replace them on its own — use --force-reinstall.
