Download and verification
Download the complete ISO from MediaFire.

GitHub assets contain the same ISO split into two raw parts. Download both parts,
PARTS-SHA256SUMS and ISO-SHA256SUMS into one directory, then run:
sha256sum -c PARTS-SHA256SUMS
cat ergenos-1.2.0-x86_64.iso.part01 ergenos-1.2.0-x86_64.iso.part02 > ergenos-1.2.0-x86_64.iso
sha256sum -c ISO-SHA256SUMSVerify successfully before flashing. Do not flash the parts individually.
GitHub's automatic Source code archives are not bootable installation images.
Installation and scope
Disable Secure Boot to boot the installation media. Post-install Secure Boot
setup remains experimental. Snapshot recovery requires configured Btrfs/Snapper.
The rebuilt ISO passed maintainer VM acceptance, including Gaming and the intended
GRUB menu. Six ErgenCTL repair tests failed during an earlier container source
build and remain unresolved; this ISO uses the previously published signed
application package. VM acceptance does not represent a complete new Secure Boot
hardware regression run.
Gaming Check, guided gaming onboarding and per-game profiles are deferred to 1.3.
ErgenOS 1.1.0
ErgenOS 1.1.0
ErgenOS 1.1 strengthens system recovery, introduces guided post-install Secure Boot support and expands graphical hardware management.
Highlights
- guided Secure Boot configuration through ErgenCTL and
ergenos-secureboot - Microsoft-signed shim with a locally enrolled Machine Owner Key
- signed kernel, GRUB and installed DKMS modules
- snapshot discovery and ErgenCTL rollback through the signed Secure Boot GRUB loader
- ErgenPac Driver Manager with hardware-aware graphics driver recommendations
- reliable automatic GRUB menu refresh for newly created Snapper snapshots
- ErgenCTL
1.1.0.dev-4, ErgenPac0.2.1and ErgenOS Welcome1.0.1 - optional Where Bootloader wallpaper
The complete installation, MOK enrollment, Secure Boot activation, snapshot boot and rollback workflow was validated on a physical Lenovo ThinkPad. The normal system was deliberately made unbootable and successfully restored through an ErgenCTL rollback.
Download and verification
GitHub limits individual release assets to 2 GiB, so the ISO is provided in two numbered parts. Download both parts and SHA256SUMS-1.1.0, then run:
cat ergenos-1.1.0-x86_64.iso.part-* > ergenos-1.1.0-x86_64.iso
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS-1.1.0Expected SHA-256:
460c2ab349681cef4922ebba35b180b24f7a17e7182dbf23cc7c99b13b1fdcce
The installation ISO must still be booted with Secure Boot disabled. Secure Boot can be enabled on the installed system by following the setup guide.
